Our mission

StandAwt is born for those who strive to become the best version of themselves. 
By doing that, SA empowers creative and talented makers to share their creations with the world and improve their financial wellness.
SA revenues will be used to fund a new tech company that will help scale its mission worldwide.

Our Story

In December 2021, Sara (SA's founder) walked into a shop in Goa (India) as she was getting ready to go back to New York.

After buying a few Cashmere shawls, the shop owner invited her to the back of the shop to show her a “very special piece” that he thought she was going to love.

And there was the coat (pictured in this section) hanging inside a beautiful wooden closet. The second she saw it, she fell in love with it, and of course, made her purchase.

How SA was born

The coat stood out. Every single day. And more importantly, made Sara feel amazing. 

StandAwt was born from a culmination of drastic events that happened in her recent past where she decided to walk away from her tech startup in April 2022 and go to India for a healing journey and a proper break.

StandAwt was born while Sara was taking a Vipassana Meditation course silent retreat in Dehradun, India. She decided there and then to visit the tailor in Pushkar, start making these coats together, and share their magic with the world.
